Dixie State University offers three medical plans through Public Employees Health Plan (PEHP). Advantage Care or Summit Care are the two PEHP plans available.
Dixie State University offers dental insurance through EMI Health Dental. Dental plan uses preferred providers but non-preferred provider coverage is available at the same rate as preferred with the employee paying any remaining balance.
Long Term Disability
If you had an unexpected illness or injury and were unable to work, how long would you be able to pay your bills? Long-term disability pays a portion of your salary if you’re unable to work due to a covered disability.
All employees are covered by State Industrial Insurance. This provides for hospital costs, physician’s fees and weekly benefit payments while absent from work due to injury incurred while at work. The entire cost is borne by Dixie State University.
Faculty, staff, and their dependents receive a ten percent discount on regularly priced books and merchandise. An I.D. card must be presented at the register to qualify for discounts.
In addition to the convenience of using your card, purchases are tax-free. This is a total savings of up to 7.5%.
